Originally distilled in Schiedam (NL) in 1772 by Jaco Van der Leun, this Gin was reintroduced by P. Loopuyt & co. distillers recently. It contains 12 botanicals among which are different herbs, juniper, fresh raspberries, Incan berries, mulberries and goji berries, quina and Turkish Rose. P. Loopuyt & co. distillers didn’t stop their because they wanted to have a tonic that fits their clean and clear Loopuyt Gin so they developed their own Loopuyt Tonic.
“The gin had to mix effortlessly with tonic. They wanted to create a gin with an accessible balanced flavour, a pure blend of fine aromatic gestures which give optimal results.”
All raw materials of Loopuyt come directly from nature. It is important to be one with nature, yet the preparation is not always a bed of roses. Changing weather conditions during the growing season may well influence the taste or smell of a fruit or spice.
