Quinta de Aves’ history dates back to the 80s, when its founder, Don Manuel Casado Casla, decided to acquire the property―which comprises 600 hectares and several farms―encouraged by his great passion for the field and his personal link with the rural world.

After 25 years taking care of the soil and improving the vineyards, in 2006, following the recognition of the excellent quality of their grapes, the family decided to start producing and bottling their own wines under the brand Quinta de Aves. To do so, they built a winery, integrated into the vineyard.

In 2008, thanks to the high quality of their grapes, and fruit of their knowledge and dedication to the field, as well as the support of excellent technicians and oenologists, they launched the first wines to the market, getting the unanimous recognition of the sector in both national and international contests. Such positive reception gave them the necessary impetus to continue to rely on their great raw material as well as to perfect the cultivation of their vines and the manufacturing processes of their wines, with the fundamental aim of always offering the highest quality.

Today, with the support of a multidisciplinary team in which youth and experience is mixed in equal parts, Quinta de Aves is present in over 20 countries, and still pursues the objective of consolidating itself as a renowned brand in the world thanks to its philosophy and its good performance in its vineyards―with a firm commitment to provide customers and consumers with the highest quality―, in its manufacturing processes, and in all its wines.

Quinta de Aves – Búho Negro Vineyard Selection – Tasting Notes

Intense deep cherry colour with ruby highlights.

Intense, complex nose highlighting the age of the vines, violets, wild berries and blackberries.

Preserved black fruit and lactic touches. Dark-roasted, smoky notes from barrel ageing.

Flavoursome, full-bodied, very balanced and soft. Structured and complex. Long finish. Lingering black fruit and lactic feel on the back palate.

Serving Temperature from 14 to 16ºC

Food Pairing

Red and hunting meat, matured cheese. Very good with dark cocoa and roasted meets.
